Life at the Funderburk house is pretty uneventful this week. I have been working hard at getting Emma Grace to school by 8am to try and get her used to getting there earlier. It does seem to make my days more productive if I have somewhere to be so early. Days this week have consisted of cleaning house and running errands. Our dining room table is becoming full of crackers, chips, and plastic crap for Emma Grace to create castles in the sand. WE are so excited about this vacation with our dearest friends. Everyday Emma Grace says "I wanna go to the beach mom" my response is "I do too a few more days". In my efforts to clean the house today I noticed that only one sippy cup was dirty and there were none in the cabinet or fridge. This means they are hidden in the house and car. I found them: under the couch, under beds, and one under the drivers seat of my car. The smell of chocolate milk that has been confinded to a plastic insulated container for Lord knows how long has a smell like no other. Yuck!

On a side note potty training is going well with Emma Grace. She has gone potty twice at school! She does best at home w/o anything on....but what a mess. I will continue at this endeavor once we return from the beach. I am not going to push it during our one week of vacation out of 52.
I cant believe that Emma Grace is already at this stage of development. I do not think people have concept of time until they become a parent. Sometimes I wish I could slow time down. It makes me sad that one day she will not need me as much as she does now. I guess the requirements of what she needs will change as she becomes older. Even at 29 I still need to hear the voice of my mother.
